Cristina joined Technicolor in March 2002 at their Princeton, New Jersey Research Center where she managed the video compression group. She holds an MS degree in Telecom Engineering from UPC (Spain) and a PhD from Mines ParisTech (France); and has also studied at MIT Sloan, IESE and Stanford.
She began her career focusing on research, but transitioned to innovation management and leadership. The holder of over 50 patents, Cristina has also written technical articles for industry publications and has received a number of awards including Technicolor’s 2010 Grand Prix of Engineering Award for her work on the TIGER 3D blu-ray encoder.
